Safety equipment upgrades to MCA or flag state requirements, life raft servicing, EPIRB and AIS replacement, fire suppression installations and survey preparation. We coordinate with the surveyor, flag state and yard to ensure a clean pass — first time.

Project Brief & Scope Definition

We meet with you — on board or remotely — to fully understand the project. What needs to change, why, to what standard, and by when. We ask the questions yards don't, and document a clear brief before any work is tendered.

Planning

Budget & Contractor Tendering

We prepare a detailed cost estimate and tender the work to our vetted network of yards and specialists. We analyse quotes objectively — not on price alone — and present a clear recommendation with our reasoning. You approve before anything is booked.

Preparation

Schedule & Handover

A detailed project schedule is agreed with the yard, aligning delivery milestones with your sailing calendar. We oversee the handover of your vessel to the yard and confirm the scope is fully understood by all parties before work begins.

Execution

On-site Supervision

A Yachting Europe project manager is present at the yard throughout critical phases of work — not just at the start and end. We track progress against the schedule, maintain the agreed standard, and keep you informed with regular written updates.

Control

Budget Reporting & Change Management

All invoices are reviewed and approved by us before payment. Any change to the original scope is formally assessed for cost and programme impact — nothing proceeds without your explicit sign-off. Full transparency at every step.

Completion

Inspection, Sea Trials & Handback

A thorough completion inspection and sea trial is conducted before your yacht is formally handed back. We issue a close-out report documenting all work completed, warranties held and any outstanding items — so the record is complete from day one.
