Yes. Registering your profile and uploading your CV costs nothing. The paid services — CV rewrite and mentor sessions — are separate products for crew who want additional support. Registration on its own puts your profile in our active database at no charge.

Your profile remains in our database and we review it regularly as positions come in. If your situation changes — new role, new certifications, different target vessel — get in touch and we will update it. We recommend reaching out at the start of each season to confirm you are still available and what you are looking for.

Upload what you have when you register. If your CV is not performing at the level you need — particularly for senior or head-of-department roles — our professional CV service is worth considering. Captains and owners looking for senior crew read many CVs and the quality of presentation, vessel history and role description makes a genuine difference at this level.

Most sessions cover an honest assessment of your current market position, certification guidance for your next rank, advice on target vessels and fleet types, and how to approach the transition you are planning — whether that is moving up in rank, switching department, or moving from charter to private. You set the agenda and we give you a straight answer.

Yes. This is one of the most common conversations we have. The transition from charter to private is a meaningful one — working culture, guest expectations and operational dynamic are different in ways that owners and captains notice. Strong charter experience on well-run, high-end vessels is valued, but how it is presented matters. This is worth discussing in a mentor session if you are planning that move.
