Yachting Europe is a boutique yachting company covering yacht management, brokerage, crew recruitment, refit projects, charter and education. We are boutique by design — every client relationship is direct, every service is personal, and every decision is made by people who have lived and worked on the water themselves.

We founded Yachting Europe to bring together decades of first-hand expertise and make it genuinely available to owners, captains and crew — with the kind of individual attention and accountability that only a dedicated, hands-on team can provide.

From Sofia to the Mediterranean, from the Caribbean to Scandinavia, we move wherever our clients need us — and we bring the same standard of care every time.

Stephanie and Christopher built Yachting Europe on a simple premise — that the best yachting service comes from people who have genuinely lived it. Between them, they bring engineering intelligence, front-of-house mastery, professional racing pedigree, captaincy, and a shared instinct for getting every detail right.

Stephanie grew up in Amsterdam as a competitive gymnast — an upbringing that instilled a deep sense of precision, discipline and performance. With roots also in Aruba, the Caribbean has always been part of who she is. During her bachelor studies in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft she spent her summers in the United States combining gymnastics with travel, feeding a lifelong passion for exploring the world and meeting people across cultures.

She went on to complete a Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology at TU Delft, and alongside her studies also qualified as a high school mathematics teacher. That combination — a love of travel, a gift for sharing knowledge and a curiosity that never sits still — is the very foundation of the Yachting Europe Academy. Teaching and exploring have always gone hand in hand for Stephanie, and the Academy is where both come alive.

She discovered sailing after graduating, introduced to the sea by Italian friends, and immediately understood what it meant to be truly free on open water. What started as an interest in yacht engineering quickly became a calling in the interior — progressing from junior stewardess through to Chief Stewardess and Purser, serving UHNWIs, single and multi-family offices and private principals on vessels of the highest calibre. Her role extended well beyond the yacht — acting as a trusted personal assistant to some of the world's most discerning private clients, managing every dimension of their world with complete reliability: from service and housekeeping to private jet transfers, logistics, travel planning and personal scheduling. For Stephanie, no detail is too small and no standard is high enough.

Away from work she kitesurfs, does CrossFit, practises yoga and plays beach tennis.

Christopher W. Dougall

Co-Founder & Director

Born in Australia with Maltese roots, Christopher came to sailing the way the best sailors do — through competition, and at the highest possible level. He went on to race professionally at the pinnacle of the sport, participating in both the America's Cup and the Louis Vuitton Cup — two of the most technically demanding and prestigious competitions in international sailing. That experience gave him a deep understanding of performance, precision and high-pressure decision-making that has informed everything he has done since.

After his racing career, Christopher built an equally formidable record as a superyacht captain — commanding vessels across European and international waters, and earning the trust of discerning owners through years of impeccable operations and seamless service. Alongside his maritime career, he founded and ran his own private security company, an experience that sharpened his instinct for risk management, contingency planning and discretion under pressure. That combination of racing pedigree, captaincy and security expertise is genuinely rare in the yachting world, and it shapes everything Christopher brings to Yachting Europe.

Away from the water, Christopher is an avid horseback rider and owns his own ranch in the Bulgarian mountains — a place that reflects the same spirit of independence and love of the outdoors that has defined his life at sea.
